the famous CCCCC
Membership Rules
To be a member of the CA:Gen Computer Contractor Contact Club, you need to be:
If you fulfill our exhaustive requirements and wish to become a member, then send your name, current town and country of work, and current email address to CCCCClub@gmail.com. If possible, we prefer to use a personal email address rather than one that will expire the moment that you change contracts. If you're in the US, then it would be helpful if you could tell us the state or, even better, the two-character code for the state, simply because America is such a big place and the search engine works better that way.
Don't forget to let us know if you move towns or countries, or change your email address. If you happen to have a web page (especially if it has nothing to do with work), then we'll even provide a link to it. Can't say fairer than that now, can we?
Kudos will also be bequeathed for shopping pimps, permies and other perpetrators perporting to be Cool:Poser Computer Contractors, when in fact they are nothing of the sort.
If you are a pimp or other hanger-on with services which you believe will be of interest to Cool:Poser Computer Contractors in the Contact Club, then if you ask nicely we will probably put a link on either the Pimp or Link pages. Especially if you bribe us.

The Small Print
Privacy
We hate spam, and we will never pass on our mailing
list to anybody else, ever. Look, we hardly need the money. We're highly paid
contractors like you and this site costs peanuts to run.
Security
Although your email address is of course displayed on our Whos Where page, your
details are stored in a database on our server and are displayed by means of
our java applet, rendering them practically invisible to any webcrawlers or
robots looking for bulk-mailing targets. Anybody who wants to cull email addresses
from the Whos Where page has to copy them all down by hand :-)
Unsolicited mail
We hate spam, and will never send you any unsolicited offers for anything,
ever. We do, however, need to check occasionally that our email database is
still accurate. To this end, we send out no more than two general emails each
year to all our members. Any email address that bounces is removed from our
database, and that member is relegated to the Lost Legends section. (Lost Legends
can of course be easily reinstated by giving us a new valid email address)
Viruses
We store your email addresses in a database, not in our address book, so even if the worst happens to us here at CCCCC Towers, you cannot be targetted by any mass-mail programs. Secondly, our client is a Mac and our server is Linux. Nuff said?
